[1.8.1 FIXED] Lore perks seem to all be active from start of game

Starting new games, it seems every lore perk is active from turn 0. It appears that the all their effects are active and some can be verified by seeing plants drop herbs/food, and bonus HP, but learning them via lore gain doesn't change anything.

Didn't see any crashes related to perk selection. There was no indication of which perks have already been taken, because all were already being displayed.

On further testing, this seems to have stopped occurring. It could have been something related to 4p hotseat games with odd interactions between players and the loremaster trait, but I can't seem to reproduce it any longer (it was consistent for quite a while though).

I too am unable to reproduce this at the moment.

It sounds logical that there could be some interaction when there is more than 1 player character with lore perks.

Lore perks are displaying properly before and after taking them, and the ones are immediately verifiable with mousing over stats all seem correct. However, I just ran into a ??? room with a goblin campfire that had the friendly trader version and I had *not* taken the 'goblin traditions' perk yet. And plant monsters seem to be dropping fruits without having taken the harvesting perk.

Was there a base % chance for that to happen added when the perks were added, or is this still a bug?


(maybe I should do a fresh install, I am ashamed to admit I have been trying to bughunt when I just installed over top of the previous folder...)

I think I tracked it down - the blessing of secrets is secretly acting as the blessing of wisdom in disguise! Talk about a big secret :lol:

I hadn't payed attention to the change in the blessing of wisdom trait so wasn't aware that it was supposed to grant all the traits, until just now. That made it easy to verify. I've been using blessing of secrets for most of my builds so far, so that explains why it was coming and going and I couldn't track it down.

Yes you nailed it. Blessing of Secrets was unlocking all perks instead of Blessing of Wisdom. Fixed.
