it's about ver.1.6.3
there are too many mobs which has "thief" trait and their theft keeps going on in chain by ridiculous rate especially in early game.
it could strip almost everything in my inv within single combat.
could it be capped ?
considering mobs has not cumbersome penalty, capping each mob's attempt of theft sounds reasonable. (as a whole or in each mob. latter is quite a work i guess though.)
another unbalanced thing is "Hunter" traits. its far less chance to obtain food (ham) than original Laby.
i feel like actual food drop rate being quite low. i mean, it often becomes like below 5% on successful drop (50% chance).
Balancing: Theft in combat is too much and too few food with "Hunter" trait
Re: Balancing: Theft in combat is too much and too few food with "Hunter" trait
Increasing Perception is the most effective way of avoiding being stolen from. There are traits like Bounty Hunter or Danger Sense that might help as well. Theft chance should actually be reduced compared to original Lost Labyrinth. Maybe you got very unlucky? I have not noticed thieving monsters being a big problem in my playthroughs.
There was a bug in the implementation of the Hunter trait making it drop food much lower than it should be. Now it is the same as original Lost Labyrinth and also has chance to drop drumstick instead of ham like the original.

hmm , that rings a bell.
i have tested many times and it sure happens like chain-theft if i took the flaw Nearsighted. (naturally, it makes perception only 3 at start.) but in that case, it always goes with Night Vision trait.
this combination was one of my fav in original Laby and i never experienced such mass-theft in early stage as current rate.
other than Nearsighted, i took flaws of Illiterate and Poverty.
taking these 3 flaws really makes my char sounding quite imcompetetive for an ambitious adventurer. hehe.
joking aside, is there any possible cumulative effects which wasn't in original Laby but be in LabyDX when some cases triggers critical case ?

as for hunter trait, even if the rate was the same as original Laby, still i feel much less. but don't know why it keeps in such low supply.

Try again with the upcoming release. Food drops a lot more after the fix I mentioned
